　Stone Column HySPEED Method

>>>This unique method for ground improvement is invented in Ehime, Japan. Main function of this method is to make stabilized ground for housing project. The characteristics of method is to have various values, such as "drainage function", non industrial waste, non devaluation of ground value, no contamination of ground and water, and CO₂ reduction. These added values are especially good for "Consumer, owner of house". This method is to protects the Right of Consumer effectively.

■Basic Principle:Composer (Composite Ground)

This method is designed mainly to strengthen bearing capacity, to reduce consolidation settlement, to strengthen horizontal resistance, and to prevent from liquefaction. In case of loading of building weight on the improved ground, stone columns are loaded in 3/4's weight of building. Load on weak ground is to be reduced up to 1/4's weight of building. This means, the load of building is distributed onto the stone columns as well as onto the weak ground. This situation is expressed by composer". The most part of building's weight is loaded on stone columns. The rest of load is loaded on weak ground. Therefore the whole improved ground is stabilized. Adding to this, the function of stone columns, (drainage function), is to prevent liquefaction by reduction of void water pressure. It is desirable to be understood that this method can strengthen the bearing capacity and prevent liquefaction.

　Loading Test:

HySPEED must have a Loading test in order to check strength of ground after construction.

　Liquefaction:

HySPEED is to be made of stones(crushed-stone, 20-40mm diameter)

　Workability:

Speed of contruction is an important matter concerning of budget management in project. HySPEED is quite well in this respect. Simple construction materials and conctruction flows make whole project effectively short in time.

　Soil Contamination:

This matter has a possibility to influence an asset of house owner. If the ground has contamination, as a matter of course, there should have an obligation to get all soil contamination part removed out of ground.

　CO₂ Reduction:

Our earth urges us to reduce CO₂. The matter of CO₂ is to change our life style and whole our social and industrial systems. HySPEED method contributes a great deal of reduction of CO₂ because of natural materials used in this method.

　Industrial Waste:

If there are some industrial wastes in the ground, evaluation of ground value can be devaluated because of Soil Contamination Measurements Law in 2003.
